SHARE OUR LIVES
We take time to share what is happening in our lives. It's a time to get know each other; to share, laugh and cry. It's a time to be family as we walk through life together.
APPLY THE WORD
One goal of scripture is not merely to share information about God but to conform his people to the likeness of Jesus. So each week we’ll study a section from God’s Word and look at how it apply’s to our particular lives.
SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER
Each week we’ll learn how to take care of one another as Christ commanded (John 15:9-13). This care can take many forms such as prayer, encouragement, listening, challenging one another, and meeting real needs.
Learning to lead meaningful lives is fostered not only by what we gain through the support and input of others, but also through service to others. It is our goal to find a time we can all serve our church or our neighbors together as a city group.
IS CHILDCARE PROVIDED?
There are some groups that provide child care, but that is not the case with every group.
HOW OFTEN DO GROUPS MEET?
Groups meet on different days and times throughout the week. We split our City Groups into three semesters throughout the year.
WHERE DO GROUPS MEET?
Most of our groups meet in homes, but sometimes a short term gathering will meet at the church or in coffee shops. We are intentional to make sure our environments are welcoming to guests and conducive to healthy group interaction.
WHAT WILL BE MY GROUPS TOPIC?
Our City Groups are typically based off of the previous Sunday’s sermon. It allows for our church to all move together in the same direction. We hope that our city groups take us from being challenged or inspired by the word, to applying the teachings of God to our everyday lives.
But City Groups aren’t just about going deeper in the word, they’re about growing deeper in community. Ultimately, we want City Groups to be the primary place where people are welcomed, shepherded, counseled, challenged, helped, encouraged, relieved, and uplifted. The place where real growth toward Jesus happens because really extraordinary love is being displayed and lived out among Jesus’ disciples.
